The Salt Mine Food Closet needs our help!
The Salt Mine is a food closet in Lincoln, CA, providing food boxes to needy families. At present The Salt Mine Food Closet serves over two thousand families each month. Projections show the need is going to increase substantially due to the rising unemployment in our community.
These services are primarily funded via the revenues of the Vine Life Ministries Thrift Store, which has been closed due to COVID-19 stay in place orders. Due to COVID-19, the revenue has dried up, but the operating costs are still there. So now more than ever, The Salt Mine Food Closet needs our help!
Each week The Salt Mine sorts and boxes an average of ten tons of food in their Lincoln CA facility to distribute the food to qualified families. Each food box provides a family with three meals a day for seven days. In addition, The Salt Mine helps with other emergency needs; clothing, household items including furniture, and gasoline for doctor appointments and work interviews.
Friends, the services from The Salt Mine Food Closet are increasing in demand every day during this COVID-19 crisis
