Serving our neighbors...together.
At Western Wake Crisis Ministry we envision a brighter future for all in Western Wake County by cultivating a healthy, hunger-free and housing-stable community.
We actively work toward this vision by partnering with those in crisis, helping them gain stability through basic supports for food, financial/housing assistance, education and opportunity.
The needs are more complex than we imagine. In an area like Western Wake County, one of the best places to live in America, we don’t imagine children going to bed hungry or families living in a hotel after being evicted. But crisis happens here. The cost of health care, the loss of a job, or a major repair can send a family spiraling.
Western Wake Crisis Ministry is addressing these complex issues every day. We are developing new programs like the HOME Project for families and individuals on the cusp of homelessness and Impact Coaching for those who are seeking long-term strategies to prevent another financial crisis. We are working collaboratively with other organizations and local government to raise awareness and to increase opportunities that move folks from crisis to stability and sustainability. And, we continue to provide direct, concrete support through a mini-grocery where families can shop at no cost. We also provide financial support to keep the lights on, the heat running, and the rent paid. We also connect participants with a strong network of formal and informal resources through partner agencies and our Impact Network of volunteers who help with one-on-one education in job searching, budgeting, etc. See more about our services.
In order to strengthen our programs to address the complex needs we see each day; we are asking you to help us grow our budget by 12% in 2020. A few generous donors have provided a matching pot so that donations given through the Raleigh Giving Party will be matched dollar for dollar! Every gift of any amount will make a difference. Make your donation count today.
Thank you!
