For those of you that know me well, you might not be surprised that I am running the Boston Marathon for a charity.
I learned about The Play Brigade a few years ago, and thanks to social media, I was able to follow the fantastic work they have been doing to create equal opportunities for all children to participate in sports and other activities.
The Play Brigade was started with a mission of creating inclusive opportunities in play, recreation, and sports, so kids with disabilities could be included in the community and thought of when it comes to programming, public spaces, and FUN.
"Creating a world for all individuals where there are no barriers to play, recreation, or sports, and where inclusion is the cornerstone of the community."
MORE FUN FOR EVERYONE. It's an incredibly simple message that can be so complicated for some families.
I would be so grateful if you would consider donating to my 2020 campaign, to help The Play Brigade to continue its fantastic work and spread its message. Any contribution has a significant impact and can make a difference for children with disabilities.
The Play Brigade is honored to have the support of John Hancock Financial and partnerships with The National Inclusion Project (co-founded by entertainer Clay Aiken), the City of Boston Parks & Recreation Department, the Town of Brookline Division of Parks and Open Space, and the Boston Red Sox.
Please consider making a 100% tax-deductible donation to this important cause, and you will see how your contribution directly impacts the community in a way that is both tangible and vital.
