There’s a drum beating here at The Pied Piper Children’s Theatre, and it’s beating faster and louder as the days go by. It’s the rhythm of change, the sound of challenge, and we need your help.
After 20 wonderful years at Holy Trinity in Inwood, Pied Piper is striking out on its own.
While so many aspects of the organization will be different, our commitment to a safe, vibrant, and creative place for children to make theatre together will stay the same.
The Pied Piper Children’s Theatre of NYC was established at Holy Trinity Church Inwood in 1999 by Rey-Rey Martinez-Cubero and has always been committed to nurturing creative expression, teaching theatrical and musical skills, and developing artistic values such as self-discipline, teamwork, commitment and leadership – skills that prepare young people to excel in all aspects of daily life and in their future professions.
The young people of Upper Manhattan have limited access to arts programming. Pied Piper remains one of the few youth theatre programs north of 59th Street in Manhattan.
Pied Piper will hold its 20th Season Gala on May 18th and our goal is to raise $30,000. To raise that amount we need donors from our extended friends and family and so we are honored to be part of the USA Today A Community Thrives fundraising challenge. Please join Pied Piper in ensuring a creative, vibrant future for the children of Upper Manhattan for many years to come!
