The Division of Women’s Health at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is dedicated to addressing gender inequities in health. We provide the highest quality sex- and gender-informed clinical care; we equip the next generation of providers with better tools and frameworks to understanding health needs and experiences of women; and we advocate for policies that support gender health equity as a fundamental human right.
Our team runs because we recognize the need to disrupt the status quo. We run because women’s bodies are not the same as the Vitruvian Man’s. We run because a woman should be able to make her own decisions about her own body. We run to better understand the health burdens disproportionately affecting women due to social norms and sociocultural factors. We run because we understand that sometimes a woman needs a helping hand and an understanding ear to get through a rough patch. We run because we are PerSisters!
