Johnathon Mullen was trained as an infantryman at Ft. Benning, Georgia in 2009. On June 10, 2011, while on a foot-patrol, SPC. Mullen’s platoon came under fire, after returning fire, SPC. Mullen’s platoon moved through a neighboring village and SPC Mullen was hit by an improvised explosive device and instantly lost both of his legs below the knee, shattered his right arm, and shrapnel nerve damage that left him with partial function in his right hand.
Post-injury, he began a journey of healing that began with music. He was the drummer and lead singer of the MusiCorps Wounded Warrior Band and has performed with Roger Waters of Pink Floyd, sang at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and was featured on the 300th episode of NCIS.

Therefore, John desires to serve hurting people in a hurting world by ministering to them the very same comfort which he has experienced from God. John and his wife Sarah have a two-year-old son named James who loves pretending to be a firefighter and a newborn daughter named Abigail.
