During these unprecedented times, many in Utah's Summit County and Wasatch County are facing uncertain times due to job loss. Congress has pledged its support, but for the most vulnerable among us that support will be too little, too late.
This is certainly the case for many hotel, restaurant and other service providers in Park City who have lost their jobs and may not be covered by unemployment insurance, loans or other legislation. Yet despite these devastating setbacks, rent is still due and utilities must be paid.
To address these critical needs we have initiated a fund we’re calling The Most Vulnerable Fund. The fund will be administered by the Christian Center of Park City with the goal of helping meet rent and utility payments during this crisis – payments that will be issued only to verified suppliers upon receipt of unpaid rent and utility bills from the individuals receiving assistance.
The numbers are staggering. The Christian Center estimates upwards of $400,000 will be needed over the next several months and we’re asking for your support – $25, $50, $100, $1,000, or above or above – knowing that 100% of your tax-deductible donation will go directly to this effort. There are no salaries and no hidden fees.
Will you join us on our mission of taking care of The Most Vulnerable?
