Welcome to my Boston Marathon 2020 Fundraising Page!
I am running to raise money for the McCourt Foundation which partners with research institutions and hospitals to further research efforts and treatment for neurological disease.
SO... I NEED YOUR HELP! LET'S GET TO $10,000!
So you say 10,000 is crazy - well, so is 26.2 miles but that doesn't stop any of us! Jump on my crazy train and join me in meeting this exciting goal!
WHY am I running for charity?
--> I have been a Boston Marathon volunteer for 5 years - many years ago I said I would run it myself, and 2020 is the year! 2020 was a year of change that sparked the decision.
--> I run for my grandmother who passed away with advanced Alzheimer's dementia this past winter.
--> I run for extended family members with Parkinson's disease.
--> I run for all other people in my life and throughout the world that live with neurological diseases. I know that many of you have personal experiences with neurological disease, and I run for each and every one of you.
--> My mission is that we can contribute to critical research that will provide greater and more effective identification, treatment, and overall management of neurological diseases.
--> After all, without research and generous donations from people like you, we can't answer the questions that still exist surrounding neurological disease!
WHO am I? A little about me:
--> I am a research Speech-Language Pathologist at Boston University. I am specializing in cognitive rehabilitation for individuals with brain injury and other traumatic neurological events.
--> I have always been an athlete - I was a competitive gymnast for 12 years, have been a competitive ballroom dancer for over 7 years, and have always been highly active.
--> I love hiking, my puppy, and a good cup of coffee!
Please consider donating to and supporting this amazing cause as we begin the Road to Boston 2020. It is a team effort and I look forward to having you on board!
