Paula’s son and Carole’s godson, Gregory, lost his best friend, Peter, in the terrorist attacks at the World Trade center on September 11, 2001. Pete was attending a conference at Windows On The World. He was 25.
In 2003, Pete's family established the Peter C. Alderman Foundation (PCAF) to improve the lives of people and communities devastated by violence and armed conflict through mental health care: “About 8 months after Pete’s death, we realized if we could help people who had survived terrorism, war or torture, but were still unable to live their lives, then this was the perfect memorial for Peter” ~Liz & Steve Alderman.
To expand PCAF’s reach and impact, in 2018 The Peter C. Alderman Foundation merged with HealthRight International, a global health and human rights non-profit organization, to better meet the mental health needs of marginalized communities.
All funds raised go to HealthRight International’s The Peter C. Alderman Foundation for Global Mental Health, a social innovation and humanitarian program that provides cost-effective mental health solutions for individuals and communities devastated by violence and armed conflict.
We’re grateful for your kindness and generosity and truly “hope we get to see you again!" Love Always, Carole & Paula
