There are lots of ways to raise $10 - kids can do chores, adults might want to fast a meal, teens might want to work an extra hour on the job. I'm doing this because WATER IS LIFE! Young GIRLS are often tasked with fetching water for families and travel MILES each day to WAIT IN LONG LINES and CARRY LARGE BUCKETS of water back to their villages. When a VILLAGE receives a borehole, not only do they receive CLEAN WATER for their families, GIRLS GO TO SCHOOL instead of fetching water. The human-animal conflict is minimized as well when these WATER voyages are replaced with TENDING TO FAMILIES and ATTENDING SCHOOL. ELEPHANTS are animals children may encounter on these voyages and come to fear. Wouldn't it be great if CHILDREN were in school LEARNING HOW TO CONSERVE ELEPHANTS instead of fetching WATER and having dangerous encounters with them? YES! So, by helping support this borehole, you are not only providing CLEAN WATER to villagers, you are SENDING GIRLS TO SCHOOL and CONSERVING ELEPHANTS and other ANIMALS.
