The goal with this campaign is to showcase that the men and women that are touched by the work of this organization go on to lead joyful and productive lives. They become valuable members of society. Helping to maintain The Gooden Center would be helping to rebuild the lives of mothers, sons, daughters, husbands and fathers. It would be to help the world.
Gooden Center was established in 1962 by five members of Alcoholics Anonymous and Episcopal Bishop, Robert Gooden. On a quiet tree-lined street in a historic section of Pasadena, California, this original group created a unique safe haven where men could escape the ravages alcoholism and drug addiction and begin putting their lives back together again.
The Mission of The Gooden Center is to assist men seeking recovery from addictive disease and mental disorders while fostering well-being for these men and their families.
Aiding us in this campaign, as either a participant or as a donor, would be aiding us in our mission. It would be helping others.
