The Irish American Heritage Center was created by a group of dedicated Irish people who wanted a place to call home and enjoy their culture. They put forth effort in creating the center and as a group with different talents and strengths to materilize a place we can enjoy and have fond memories over the years.
Our team is led by Eileen Griffin and Rich Godley. This is a multi- generational team that is dedicated to the center Eileen Griffin was raised at the center as her father was part of the orginal crew who dedicated many hours in the beginning stages and throughout the years at the center. Eileen's mother worked at the center for 25 years.
Eileen has been a dedicated volunteer throughout the years, a veteran Irish fest committee member , and currently a board member.
Rich Godley has been dedicated to the Irish American Heritage Center for many years, on the float committee, building committee and board member. He is a behind the scenes guy who puts his time and expertise into the building! You will find him on the roof or basement or Thursday nights in the 5th, enjoying the music and a pint!
The Godley Kids (aka The Gaels) Aileen and Liam are the 3rd generation of this group who were raised around the Irish American Heritage Center. Their musical spirit has been cultivated here starting at a young age! They have been honored to open for legendary bands .
We want this to continue, as it is unprecedented times for all, and the center is affected due to closure. Please know any donation is truly appreciated to keep the Irish spirit alive! Until we meet again! ☘️☘️☘️
