Life is Beautiful….
It’s hard to believe that Diane has been gone for over five years isn’t it? For the past five years on the third Sunday in September, our family and friends have celebrated Diane’s life with mass and a small reception. Father Peter’s homily was awesome (as they usually are) as it was totally relevant to us. Father Peter compared the message of the Gospel to the film “Life is Beautiful.” The essence of his message and that of the film is that out of darkness comes light and that life can be beautiful. That is what the Children’s Room has taught us as well.
Forth and Fourth...
Along with our family and friends, The Children’s Room is our network for love and support and has helped our family move forth while holding Diane close to us in everything we do. I didn’t imagine last year when I crossed the finish line sopping wet that I’d be running for a fourth time for TCR, yet as soon as the girls saw me, they embraced me and said, “you’re going to do that again, right?” So here I am...back a fourth time, asking if you will support me as I run in memory of Diane and in honor of Maeve and Luisa. The thing is, Marathon weekend has in some ways become a family celebration/tradition for us and we are looking forward to being able to celebrate one more time.
Your gift will mean a lot to us and many other families who are supported by TCR
By supporting my run, you will be supporting my family and so many others who receive support from the Children’s room. The Children’s room creates a safe and supportive community for children and their family’s. They believe that no child has to grieve alone. The Children’s room services are free of charge and they rely on generous donations such as yours in order to do so. Some of the programs they provide are peer support groups at their Arlington location and in the Greater Boston Area. They also hold Parenting while Grieving Education Series, a Monthly Family Night arts-based program, teen programming, adult consultations, as well as information and referrals to families and professionals looking for additional grief-related services in their area.
Thank you....AGAIN Four times over...
Thank you (AGAIN•4) for supporting me, Maeve, Luisa and my run as a member TCR's 2019 Miles & Memories Marathon Team. Beyond your support of my run, thank you for love and support.
I am so proud and very fortunate to be on this time once again...so thank you for supporting our 2019 Miles & Memories Marathon Team as we prepare to run 26.2 miles for grieving children, teens, and families!
