I adopted my Honey from a rescue group 6 years ago and I can't imagine life without her.
I had always casually fostered dogs but I really didn't grasp how many there are & how they suffer. Although we all hear the mind-numbing numbers its hard to understand how each and every one has a personality & story of their own. Fostering has made that point hit home hard; if someone hadn't given my Honey the chance years ago my life would be much different today - and I wonder what her life would have been like.
I know the work we do matters because the dogs we rescue not only rely on us to literally save their lives but also because they will mean so much to the lives they join someday when they're adopted - like Honey does mine.
There are so many more relying on groups like ours to take them off the streets, fix a broken leg, give them safe shelter, provide a place to birth & care for their puppies, and to simply save them from euthanasia from a kill shelter. Owner turn ins, discarded family members and thrown into the streets dogs find themselves in the vulnerable position of having to fend for themselves, and the world can be a very cruel, if not lethal, place for them.
Help us save more dogs & puppies like those pictured; each of these were my personal fosters with Labs & More and they have gone on to be adopted to loving families of their own. This wouldn't have been possible without donations from people like you.
Our annual Mutt Run is fun, yes, but its more important purpose is to fund our ability to do the life-saving work we do.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION COUNTS ~ EVERY DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE.
