COVID-19 isn't killing many people in Africa but the risk of starvation and famine has never been higher as a consequence of the restrictions that were imposed following the outbreak of this pandemic. Interruption of imports and the relocation of Aid Agencies to help other non-African countries directly affected by COVID-19 meant that some African countries are no longer receiving their regular food supplies. According to the World Food Program: "Well over 40 million people across West Africa face desperate food shortages in coming months, with COVID-19 restrictions a new factor adding to people’s vulnerability".
Australians have displayed an extraordinary sense of generosity as shown during the bushfires and the current pandemic; and will continue to do so to help human fellows.
Please, donate to this charitable cause to help prevent people dying from starvation. "Every little helps".
