Help The Art Center continue to serve our community.
For over sixty-five years, The Art Center has served the Western Colorado community by improving quality of life by promoting the arts.
The Art Center, like every business, has bills to pay each month. And even now, with the doors closed, we still have to meet those obligations. We depend on a variety of revenue streams to pay the bills. One of those sources is tuition for classes. We had to cancel our Spring class session for adults, children, and special needs. That left us with a substantial shortage. And, in order to make sure our summer classes are as safe as possible, we will need to drastically limit the number of students in each class, which will also make it difficult to make ends meet.
We also had to postpone our big annual fundraiser, Paint the Town – a Night in Paris. We’ll be holding the benefit in September. But in the meantime, that’s about $30,000 that we need now, rather than later. Membership purchases and renewals are down. Art sales are non-existent, concerts have been cancelled, as have facility rentals. Suffice to say, things are tight. We understand that finances are uncertain for a lot of people and businesses. And we know that it’s asking a lot to request that you make a financial gift to The Art Center at this time. But your Art Center needs your generosity now more than ever in its history.
