The Arc provides services to over 500 Idahoans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to further their goals of independence, self-sufficiency and well-being through life skills, job training, residential, and recreation programs. Advocacy services through the agency help parents navigate challenging healthcare and support services and connect them to a community of other families. Services provide support to guide decisions about living arrangements, jobs, recreational activities and help families with future planning. The Arc has two assisted living facilities providing housing, food and a safe environment for up to 17 individuals.
Most of our programs are funded through Medicaid and Idaho Vocational Rehabilitation. Under typical circumstances that funding does not fully support the cost of the programs. To continue providing these vital services The Arc runs a call center and clothing donation program and partners with Savers Thrift Stores. Revenue from this program supplements the service programs. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the donation center has been temporarily shuttered and is not providing the additional funding needed for services. Without this additional revenue we will not be able to continue to exist. Our services are essential for people with I/DD. We are all in this together and we can't do it without you! We need your support now more than ever!!
