There is a reason why the word ‘good’ is in ‘goodbye.’ It does not mean that our heart will not feel the pain of missing someone and that tears will hide away in our eyes. It means that there is a path ahead, and that we are strong enough to get there. Losing our father this year taught us that life is a journey. That masks are more common than we think, and sometimes, heaven is simply the better answer. Our Dad, Eric Levitt, was loved. He had a personality that will never be forgotten. Golf meant the world to him, and it is where he established many of his lifelong friendships. His athleticism and strength were traits that we admired, as well as his big heart for us and our mom . If there is anything we all must consider under these circumstances, it is that love brings communities together. We must honor him today with the people and sport he valued most.
When our father was a teenager, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Raising awareness and funding research have always been incredibly important to him. We ask that you please donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in his memory.
