Measles is one of the most contagious and severe childhood diseases. Every day, it takes the lives of hundreds of children around the world. It costs about $2 to vaccinate a child against measles and rubella, making it one of the most cost-effective solutions available. Since 2001, the Red Cross has partnered with the Measles and Rubella Initiative to vaccinate over 2 billion children. Measles vaccination coverage is now 85% globally compared with 72% in 2001. The youth of the Texas Gulf Coast Region are dedicated to creating a world free from measles and rubella. We hope you will help us save the lives of children around the world!
