Started by members of the Texas Irish Cycling Team in Dallas, TX, the mission of The Texas Irish Foundation (TIF) is to support, through donations and our active involvement, those charitable organizations about which we are passionate: women and children in need, medical research for debilitating diseases, the homeless and those men and women who have served in our country’s armed forces. The Texas Irish Cycling Team is recognized as a tight-knit, well-organized and team-first cycling club that pedals many miles for our causes, ending the year with a 175km grind from OK to Dallas; however, our proudest achievement is less well-known, that is, the priority TIF and its sponsors place on fundraising for charitable causes. The Texas Irish was founded on the principle of being active in and giving back to the communities in which we live. Since our founding in 2006, members of the Texas Irish Cycling Team have raised almost $1,000,000 for charity. 100% of the money raised by our fundraisers are allocated to a grant-approved, need-based causes in our community. Our goal for 2018 is to surpass our previous years goal of $175,000 as we begin our second decade! Our Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit, operates free of overhead or administrative costs of any kind. Any and all incidental, maintenance or professional expenses associated with the Foundation will be borne by the Texas Irish Cycling Team and paid from membership dues volunteer hours and team sponsors. Accordingly, 2018 beneficiaries include: Carry the Load, Children's Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation, PAM's, Sons of the Flag, Trucking for Thomas, Genesis, Scott Ash, Jesuit Scholarship and Fredrichs Ataxia 100% of all donations raised by and for the Foundation will go to our identified charities. On behalf of all the members and sponsors of the Texas Irish Cycling Team and its beneficiary organizations, we are incredibly grateful for your support and your generous donations to the Texas Irish Foundation, past and present.
