In July of 2017 my life was directly impacted by Blank Children's Hospital. My then-20 month boy, Knox, was getting very ill. It was found that he had a cyst on his liver and would require a rather complicated surgery.
We spent the next 4 weeks in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) watching our son struggle to heal and get well. Due to the care of the doctors and nurses, we ended up on the other side of the Blank Children's Hospital walls, and have forever been grateful to the care we received that month.
The Terracon Roadrunners are running the race for so many babies and children who are in the hospital. This particular year we are running for the NICU babies:
Your gifts to support me will help purchase equipment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Our team goal is to purchase a specialized NICU bed for micro-preemies and critically-ill infants in order to prevent brain bleeding and other complications. Thank you!
