Tennessee Youth Symphony's Musical Director, Anna Maria Miller, recently shared that the largest of our ensembles - Youth Symphony, a group of approximately 100 student musicians who play string, brass, woodwind and percussion instruments - has outgrown our current music library. Said another way: Our talented Middle Tennessee students are now performing at a level beyond our music library holdings.
THE GOOD NEWS: TYS students' technical capabilities continue to grow and improve. This is a testament to all of the hard work of our conductors, guest artists, parents and students. Thank you, all!
THE BAD NEWS: Our program requires more advanced, high-skill-level music, but our current budget doesn't allow for it.
A CALL TO ACTION: Our goal is to raise $1,500 by May 2020 to support next season’s music acquisition requirements. We need help from local businesses and organizations, and individuals LIKE YOU.
Please donate today - and share with family, friends and others who you think may lend their support. THANK YOU.
