Welcome, my name is Sebastian Ludmir. I am a 16-year-old student born in Lima, Perú who moved to Miami, Florida at an age of just 8 months old.
I am a part of Believe in Kindness a 501(c)(3) organization based in Miami Florida, (www.believeinkindness.org) that seeks to empower new generations with tools of kindness and compassion to impact the world in a positive way. We create chains of solidarity between people and institutions, we connect stories. In this case we are creating a solidarity chain to raise money for Techo and bring a home to a family who could use the help.
In September of 2017, I went on a trip to Peru to partake in what would be one of the most humbling experiences I have had. TECHO helped me impact the lives of seven people by building a house for them after they had lost everything. This family had a glass workshop and in February of last year had their entire factory flooded by landslides and heavy rains. The trip in September made me realize how many families really need the help, and without something as necessary as shelter there is no way to bounce back from these terrible natural disasters. Now I am starting a second fundraiser to be able to go back and build another home, and I could really use all the help I can get. There are thousands of other families who have gone through similar losses and would mean the world to them to have something so many take for granted. Help me make an impact in a family's life and have another experience as amazing as the first one! Anything helps!
