After months spent building the perfect team for this project, and getting all of our plans completed, WE ARE FINALLY READY TO START! While we work on finalizing architectural drawings for the construction phase, we don't want to waste any more time, so we have our demo permit in hand and are ready to tear down those walls!
Back in the 90's when the theatre was converted to house 2 separate theatres, they built a monster of a wall in the balcony. Now that's definitely got to go if we want to have the space opened back up to how it was originally designed! And if that wall wasn't enough of a challenge to remove, they built a second one on the stage that is even more of a beast! The current stage with the wall in place is too small to host national touring acts, leaving only 13 ft of stage depth, and we need at least 25 ft, so it's gotta go! Neither of these walls will be easy to remove, requiring some serious scaffolding and other equipment, not to mention that removing a wall in a balcony isn't exactly the easiest thing to haul out!
In this phase, we will also be opening up the main floor projection booth, as that will be turned into our bar. That's right, our bar!
The demo is expected to take a little over 2 weeks to complete, so that gives us a few weeks to raise the money to pay for this phase, so it's time Cheyenne! It's time to show your support for this project and help ensure this happens!
You have our commitment that we will be good stewards of your money, we are doing everything we can to keep costs at a minimum, while also ensuring that this project is done right. When we are done, we will have a venue that rivals the ones in Denver like the Ogden, Gothic and Fillmore. We are commited to doing this not "good enough for Cheyenne" but "good enough for the entire Front Range!" We are a 501c3 nonprofit, so all donations are tax deductible! If you prefer to make a donation by cash or check, please contact us and we can make arrangements! Thank you so much!
