COVID-19 has drastically uprooted families across the globe, particularly hitting rural communities and low-income countries. Even as the supply of medical equipment and protective gear diminishes, healthcare workers are on the front lines, risking their lives to fight for their patients and support all of the children and families impacted during this unprecedented emergency. As these heroes continue to help our communities, it is pertinent to provide the crucial support on this upward climb. Teams from the UNICEF supply division are working tirelessly to ensure COVID-19 supplies are being delivered to hospitals globally. UNICEF has already donated approximately 6 million medical supplies, including defibrillators, N95 respiratory and surgical masks, gloves, and gowns to European countries, the Hubei Province of China, Iran, Palestine, and many more countries.
As the pandemic persists, student advocacy groups across US colleges have created Team UNITE to continue raising funds going to medical supplies and personal protective equipment for those on the front lines. There is still more to be done, and your contribution allows UNICEF to continue protecting healthcare workers, helping to flatten the curve by keeping them AND patients protected. Whether you donate $5 or $500, every little bit makes a difference. Thank you for your support!
