Tanner Pidgeon and John Parrinello are undertaking a 10,000 mile journey in a 3-wheeled car as Team Live Free or Tri. This adventure goes by the name of the Mongol Rally and is a charity event that has around 400 teams raising money for a charity of their choice. The charity we chose to help support is Team Trevor.
Team Trevor is a charity that helps fund research to combat rare Cystic Fibrosis mutations. Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients.
Our goal is to raise $1000 for this cause. We appreciate any and all donations. Please share this link with your friends and family.
