I struggle each year to put into words what The Donna Foundation, and the 26.2 with Donna marathon weekend means to me. It's been ten years since I lost my wonderful Mom to breast cancer! This past month I also lost my very dear friend Dina. It seems that over the years, the number of dear friends and family affected by this disease has grown. With every phone call or message I receive of yet another diagnosis, or re-occurrence, my heart sinks. But it also fuels the fire in me to continue to do everything I can to help finish this thing!!
I fundraise for The DONNA Foundation because I see the positive impact the foundation has made on the women and families who are bravely enduring treatments. I've seen first-hand the amazing research and advances being made at The Mayo Clinic with the money's we continue to raise through the foundation. And I run in the Breast Cancer Marathon weekend in memory of my Mom and the dear friends I've lost. But I also run in honor of the Survivors, and with LOVE and HOPE for all of those courageously enduring their treatments today. I hope YOU will join ME in supporting The DONNA Foundation - TOGETHER WE WILL FINISH BREAST CANCER!!
With Love, Donna (and the entire "TeamJudyB" family)
