Team John Hancock 2019
Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB) and Ron Burton Training Village (RBTV) are thrilled to partner with the Boston Marathon team of John Hancock employees to raise funds to provide hope and opportunity for youth in the greater Boston area. To streamline our donation process this year, all gifts will be directed to Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB) and then divided equally between BGCB and RBTV.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB)
Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB) provides young people in our community with a safe place to go after school where caring adult role models deliver fun and enriching programs. Activities are strategically developed to help youth succeed academically, live healthy lifestyles, build character and practice good citizenship. Financial support from our partners helps keeps the cost of membership affordable for the children we serve, many of whom come from low-income families and single-parent households. At only $25 per school year for children ages 6-12 and just $5 for teens, members get the strong start they need for a great future.

Ron Burton Training Village (RBTV)
The mission of the Ron Burton Training Village is to enrich the lives of challenged youth in the areas of dynamic character and leadership development, physical fitness, social and educational advancement, and spiritual growth. Over the past thirty years, the Ron Burton Training Village has served more than 4,000 young men and women in their spiritual, physical and educational growth. The year-round development of each child, further underscored by the 5-week summer experience, focuses on four key areas: academic excellence, character and leadership development, sports and fitness, and spiritual growth. Many applicants come from difficult, and troubled environments, they face challenges that may impact their decision-making skills and ability to successfully achieve their goals.
