Hello everyone. I will be taking part of the Falmouth Road Race at Home Edition this year and have decided to help rasie money for Heroes In Transition. For those of you who know me, I spend countless hours paddleboarding, so I decided that on the day of the Falmouth Road Race, I will paddle 7 miles and should be the first person to ever complete the Falmouth Road on a SUP.
Please help me reach Heroes In Transition, is a 501 (c) 3, not-for-profit organization. We recognize those who have served or who are serving our country by providing appropriate assistance in four key areas:
* Transitional Support Groups for veterans, couples, spouses and families
* Financial support for service families
* Assistance dogs for veterans
* Home modifications for veterans
Our mission is to provide assistance that is not readily available from other organizations including local, state, and federal agencies. Your generosity will help support our heroes.
Heroes in Transition, Inc. was founded in 2009 in memory of Capt. Eric A. Jones, a Marine helicopter pilot, who lost his life while supporting a combat mission in Afghanistan, October 26, 2009. “He flew helicopters to be close to the troops on the ground and be there to help them when they needed it most,” said Cyndy Jones, Eric’s mother and one of the founders of Heroes in Transition. The organization carries on Capt. Jones’ mission by providing assistance to those who have served or are currently serving our country.
