Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you for visiting the Team David fundraising page! On September 13th, we will participate in the 24th Annual Cliff Walk for A.L.S. The walk is going virtual this year due to COVID-19, so we will be doing the walk close to home instead of the usual seven mile walk along the Cape Cod Canal. We walk in memory of our father, David Dorfman, who passed away from A.L.S. in December 2004 after a five year battle against the disease.
Though our efforts can no longer help our father, our hearts remain with the cause. Over 30,000 Americans currently live with A.L.S. with 5,600 new cases being diagnosed every year. This is a ruthless disease that cares not how brave or determined one may be to beat it. The cure remains to be found.
This is our 18th year participating in the Cliff Walk. With your continued support over the past seventeen years, we have raised over $340,000 for the Cliff Walk. Our goal this year is to raise $18,000. Please help us meet, or even surpass, our goal. We thank you for your support and hope we can count on your tax-deductible donation.
The money raised from the Cliff Walk supports both research and patient services. One particular beneficiary is the Cambridge-based ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS-TDI), which honored our father by creating the David M. Dorfman Research Fund in 2007.
We know that your valuable support will make this year as successful as the past seventeen years. We thank you in advance for your contribution.
Please forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
