OUR STORY:
2018 marks the 11th year of Team Carter. This team celebrates Carter Biata and the organization (RMH of SNJ) that helped give him a chance to improve the quality of his life after being diagnosed with Spina Bifida during a routine ultrasound in 2003. The RMH gave the Biata family a place to stay and thrive for three months after Carter's mother, Marcia, endured in-utero surgery to improve Carter's long term quality of life. The family has also stayed at the RMH of SNJ countless times in the past 14 years as Carter needs to return regularly to CHOP to receive treatment and care.
Over the past 11 years, Team Carter and its supporters have raised enough money to furnish and decorate a room in the RMH, and make it a “Give 365 Room.” This means that the room is available for families to stay in at no charge all year long. In addition, they have assisted with countless other purchases including computers, playground equipment, etc.
In 2018 we need to completely refurnish and redecorate the Team Carter room (as it needs a total face-lift after years of use and abuse) and would also like to continue to fund it so that families can continue to enjoy our room at no charge. This means that 2018 needs to be our BIGGEST FUNDRAISING YEAR YET!

The RMH is dependent on the generosity of others. Team Carter’s goal is to create awareness and support for this organization that turns family’s tragedies into memorable experiences.
