Welcome to Team Belichick, the Bill Belichick Foundation's 2020 Boston Marathon running team page. Thanks to the John Hancock nonprofit program, the BBF will have a group of runners on our roster who will train to complete the 26.2 mile marathon next April!
The Bill Belichick Foundation aims to provide coaching, mentorship, and financial support to individuals, communities, and organizations. Focusing on football and lacrosse, its mission is to bring the values of the Belichick family – a love of sports, coaching and team building – to the athletic leaders of tomorrow.
Growing up, football and lacrosse were huge in my family. Every Easter my cousins and I played lacrosse and every thanksgiving we played football (pictured above from 2008). I started playing lacrosse in 3rd grade (also pictured above) and continued on until last year practicing with the club team at UNH. I have always loved being apart of sports and they have been so important to me throughout high school and college. The only issue is that I was bever really great at lacrosse. I had the passion but not the skills, so I am excited to be able to support a sport I love while being able to run which I also love. My favorite part of fall has always been football because it means having all of our family friends over and my mom making chili and being able to see people who I dont get to see very often. Running for the Bill Belichick Foundation is so exciting to me because I know first hand what football and lacrosse have the power to do for kids and families.
