On January 25, 2014 I suffered a brain hemorrhage caused by a ruptured brain aneurysm. Surviving the rupture and the medflight to Boston was the first of many miracles for which my family and I are grateful. 40 % of people who suffer a rupture die before making it to the hospital. After surgery to repair 3 aneurysms and a month in ICU, I am also grateful for a remarkable recovery. With the support of family, friends, and a lot of hard work and perseverance, I am able to run the Falmouth Road Race to support an organization that has supported me, my family and so many others affected by brain aneurysms. Please donate to support the Brain Aneurysm Foundation and help reduce the incidence of brain aneurysm ruptures.
