On Saturday, September 29th, our family is honored to be participating in, our first, but the 5th Annual Jam Kancer In The Kan Foundation Scotch Plains/ Fanwood Kancer Jam, the birthplace of the Jam Kancer In The Kan movement. We are the most fun and most unique fundraising platform around. What began as a backyard event has now evolved into a movement that has raised over $670,000 for kancer-related charities and organizations. Our success has motivated us to create The Jam Kancer In The Kan Foundation, and our mission statement is simple- to provide support to organizations near or far that assist families in the throes of dealing with this hideous disease. Kancer takes from all of us; by banding together we can do even more to help improve the lives of those afflicted and work together to Jam Kancer in the Kan. We thank you for your support, and encourage you to learn more about our movement by visiting us at www.jamkancerinthekan.com.
This year, we are dedicating our participation to our mother/gramdmother, Christine Laffin, who passed away in 2011 after her hard-fought fight with complications arising after a bone marrow transplant /leukemia diagnosis. We are also participating in support of our dear friend and fellow Scotch Plains resident, Marc Fusillo, who is fighting his hardest fight at this very moment. We love you Marc. xoxo
