Really?!?! You are running again?
Yep - now I'm on to Boston!! Raising money for Team V cancer research. This will be my third race with Team V. I can't say enough good things about this organization.
Unfortunately my life has continued to be touched by cancer. I've lost some very good friends this past year. Other good friends and colleagues have recently heard those very scary words at doctors visits. They are all fighting the good fight!!
When my Grandma Mueller was diagnosed with cancer - she never let it slow her down. She never used it as an excuse. She was still trimming limbs from over her car, out working in the yard or making us chocolate covered pretzels. I am hoping to channel some of that fighting spirit as I tackle Heartbreak Hill.
One of the main reasons I chose Team V and the V Foundation is the fact that all of the administrative costs are covered by grants. That means 100% of your donation goes directly to cancer research. So please consider a donation! I’ll keep everyone posted on my training progress and marathon results.
In the past 25 years, The V Foundation has awarded more than $225 million to cancer research and related programs nationwide.
Jim Valvano’s “Don’t Give Up . . . Don’t Ever Give Up!”® spirit is alive now more than ever, and it is the perfect motto to carry us through the iconic 26.2 mile journey from Hopkinton to Boston. With continued support, we will forge ahead with innovative research. Join us on Team V or support us through a donation – either way, you are making a difference and saving lives. There is not a moment to lose in the fight against cancer.
