Team V is the official endurance fundraising program for the V Foundation for Cancer Research. We are a committed team of athletes fundraising with strength and determination for the fight against cancer. Our team’s runners are fueled by the spirit of Jim Valvano and his inspiring words, “Don’t Give Up . . . Don’t Ever Give Up!”®
Joining Team V for the 2019 Boston Marathon gives you the opportunity to run for far more than yourself and make your miles count. We have two fundraising options this year: choose the $5,000 fundraising minimum commitment and receive the branded gear and perks listed below, or select a minimum commitment of $6,000 and receive the standard benefits as well as a two night stay at a luxury hotel in downtown Boston April 14 – 16, 2019!
In addition to raising money for a great cause, Team V runners receive these benefits:

· Personalized online fundraising page, with fundraising support provided
· Customizable training plans for runners of all levels
Our runners commit to raising their minimum fundraising commitment by March 15, 2019, and runners who exceed their minimum fundraising commitment will be eligible for additional Team V swag.
Already have guaranteed entry? We would love to have you join Team V too! Runners who have secured entry via qualification can join Team V and receive all the benefits mentioned above by committing to raise $2,000 (without hotel) or $3,000 (with hotel).
The V Foundation was founded by ESPN and award-winning NC State basketball coach Jim Valvano. Coach Valvano was diagnosed with cancer in 1993. When he created the Foundation, Jim knew that it was too late for research to save him, but he spent his last months alive creating a legacy of hope for others diagnosed with this debilitating disease.
In the past 25 years, The V Foundation has awarded more than $225 million to cancer research and related programs nationwide.
