My relationship with running dates back to the 4th grade. I was finally eligible to join the St. Paul Lutheran track team. With my slicked back low pony tail and sketchers sneakers, I was ready to crush the 200 meter race.
My relationship with fundraising dates back to college during which all four years I participated in Dance Marathon to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Last year I "ran" my very first half-marathon and first Rock 'n' Roll event. I express myself in quotes as an injury prevented me from running to my fullest potential, and it was much more of a shuffle to make it across the finish line 13.1 miles later.
This year I'll still be running and raising money, but with my company, United Health Group, and for the UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation.
In order to run with my colleagues, I am responsible for raising $500 dollars that will go towards UHCCF, which provides medical grants to significantly better the clinical condition or qualiy of life for children across the US 16 years old or younger.
Please consider supporting me and furthering an incredible cause by donating to my page in the link below. Any amount helps and encourages me as I brace the freezing temperatures during my training! See you on the course on March 9th!
