2020 has been difficult on all of us. But for many of our veterans, this year is pushing them towards a breaking point.
Please help me raise money and awareness for Soldiers' Angels and all they do for our military service members, wounded heroes, military families, and veterans of all eras.
Before the pandemic, many of our nation's veterans faced challenges that led to isolation— physical or mental wounds, hospitalizations, joblessness, and homelessness. And now, after months of lockdowns and quarantines, our veterans need our help now more than ever.
We need your help to tackle this issue.
Soldiers' Angels has been able to maintain food distributions in six cities across the country for the last several years, and not even COVID stopped us from providing this service. But it's not enough. We need to work towards opening this event in additional cities.
Soldiers' Angels has created new programs to provide transportation assistance to help veterans get to the VA and get the healthcare they need. But our budget is stretched to the max. We need to provide more transportation for more veterans.
Soldiers' Angels has introduced Homeless Veteran Housing Packs that support homeless veterans who are approved and accepted into HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing program (HUD-VASH) by providing them with essentials they need in their new home. And the stories we hear back are heartbreaking. Many express a dire sense of never feeling like anyone cared about them.
But we do care. We are here. And together, we can do even more.
At Soldiers' Angels, we strive to uplift and support veterans every day of any given year. However, this year more than any other year, they need more. They need a flood of support to know that we remember what they have done to protect our country and our freedoms. That we are grateful for their service and here to be there for them as they have been there for us.
Will you be part of the flood and let these heroes know we're thinking of them?
Join the Soldiers' Angels Giving Tuesday Giving Challenge and raise money for Soldiers' Angels to support veterans with food assistance, transportation assistance, and housing packs.
