As many of you know, our lives have been pesonally touched and forever changed by a CHD (congenital heart defect). Michael was born into our family in October 2017 and passed away 7 weeks later after 3 heart surgeries and numerous other procedures. 1 out of every 100 babies is born with a congenital heart defect. Twenty-five percent of those need heart surgery in order to survive - like our Michael. There is no cure - just repairs, restructuring, transplants, etc. And for some, the heart journey ends way too soon.
On September 22, my family and I (yes, all of our kids) will be walking in the 2018 Conquering CHD Walk in Ohio in memory and honor of Michael. We are asking for your support in multiple ways.
1. If you would like to help us support the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association of Ohio, we would appreciate your donation toward our fundraising goal. We have experienced the beneifts of PCHA in multiple ways. They are a nonprofit organization that provides packages to heart patients and their families, education, Holiday meals, advocacy, research and so much more. 2. Come on out to Cincinnati and join us for the walk!!! We would love to have you as part of "Team Tippey" for the day. Sign up for the walk and join on our team.
