For the third year in a row, Stay-Focused will host a Charity Partner team in this year’s TCS New York City Marathon. Based on the success of our team the last two years, and this being the 50th anniversary of the NYC Marathon and the 20th anniversary of the wheelchair category, we increased our bib request from five to 10, and are very excited about the 10 runners on Team Stay-Focused 2020.
Among our runners is Ryan Chalmers, a Paralympic wheelchair racer whose last marathon was the NYC Marathon in 2013. Ryan, who is the Director of Development for Stay-Focused, will be making his comeback in support of Stay-Focused, an organization he was introduced to at the age of 15. Bernie Boldt, an enthusiastic supporter of Stay-Focused and a board member, will be part of Team Stay-Focused for the third year in a row. And Jenny Coleman from Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands) will be joining our team for the second time. You can read more about all our runners on our website: www.stay-focused.org, scroll down to 2020 TCS New York City Marathon.
All funds raised by our enthusiastic and dedicated team of runners will be used to offer teens with disabilities (some from the NYC area) the opportunity to learn to SCUBA dive in Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands) in the summer of 2021. Stay-Focused offers a life-changing experience that builds their confidence, inspires them to try new things, and motivates them to set higher goals.
I trust you’ll find our story compelling, embrace our campaign, and donate in support of Team Stay-Focused 2020.
