Hello All -
I hope you are all safe, healthy and remaining reasonably sane during this crazy time. As many of you know, The Irish American Heritage Center has been a large part of my family for decades.
Since having to close our doors on March 16th due to COVID-19, the IAHC has missed out on the St. Patrick's Day season, our largest revenue resource of the year, and many more events face an uncertain future as the struggle to contain the virus continues in our city and around the world.
As current President and long time Board member and volunteer, I'd like to ask for your help however large or small.
Even though our building is closed, fixed expenses remain. In order to maintain basic functions into an unknown future, we need to raise at least $100,000. This need is critical and immediate and the hope is that, with your help, we can be ready to serve you and our community again when the fog of this pandemic clears.
It is my hope and resolve for the IAHC to be ready to support all of the best in Irish heritage and culture when we can all come out and play again. It is what we do during these next few months that is critical to making sure we are in a healthy position when, not if, that time comes.
Any contribution you make will have a direct impact on our effort to keep the mission of the IAHC alive. Every dollar truly does count.
Go to irish-american.org or our social media pages to see the content we have been sharing. We are doing all we can to continue to be YOUR resource for the best in Irish culture.
We know that this is a very difficult time for everyone. If you can spare a donation, please do. Otherwise, please share. And share again. Once we are on the other side of this I look forward to seeing you all again in the halls of the IAHC. Be well.
Until we meet again...
