We are teaming up to raise money for the Virtual STOMP fundraiser organized by The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation! This wonderful organization not only helps spread awareness of a very serious and real condition called SUDEP, but enables grants to families all over to cover the costs of seizure alert devices, seizure service dogs and so much more!! This holds a special place in our hearts as our son River suffers from Epilepsy, his first seizures were diagnosed at 2 months old and we struggle with seizure control day to day as he grows. Through a fellow TSC mama I was introduced to this foundation and learned about not only the wonderful things they do to help enrich those with Epilepsy on a daily basis but the extra special thing they do once a year... Once a year Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland takes place, along with a wonderful Epilepsy Expo at the Disneyland Hotel! This foundation holds special fundraisers throughout the year to be able to grant families with loved ones who have Epilepsy or those who have lost a loved one, a all major expenses paid trip to attend this magical week! This year we were blessed beyond measure to have been chosen by random drawing and are overjoyed to attend the expo this year AND get to take our little ones to Disneyland. Having a child with any type of disease is heartbreaking, but knowing the unpredictability of Epilepsy and TSC first hand I am so unbelievably thankful for organization like this whole truely care!
