I've been involved with children cancer camps since 1997 and it's become a part of my life. In 2014 I got the opportunity to volunteer for a newly formed camp that was happening in a downtown Chicago hotel and it changed my perspective on Pediatric Oncology Camps. From bunk beds in a suite and singing songs in the lobby to a dinner cruise complete with fireworks on Lake Michigan this was camp, just in a unique setting. All within walking distance from a hospital. Now I have the privilege to be the Camp Director and Executive Director for Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago and it has become a part of who I am. Please help me raise funds for this city based camp that helps the kids that attend change their perspective on what camp and living with cancer looks like. This camp is a part of who these kids are and together we can help make sure it's continues to run cost free for the families!
