I am so proud to be raising money for the American Red Cross and fulfilling my dream to run the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2019! Please help me in this effort to not only raise much needed funds for an amazing charity but also to shed light on everything the Red Cross has done and continues to do to help communities prepare and recover from disasters such as hurricanes and the recent wildfires in California.
The idea of raising $10,000 for charity started in Boston back in September when I saw my favorite band Pearl Jam rock Fenway Park for 2 nights. I was trying to get them to play a song called Dirty Frank, which they haven't played live in over 12 years. I made the sign in the second picture above and although they didn't play it, they did tease us with a snippet at night 2. I'm challenging Pearl Jam to play Dirty Frank in FULL at a concert in 2019 and calling on my family and friends, especially my Pearl Jam fan friends to get us to our goal of $10K. There's no better charity than the Red Cross to benefit from this and running the Boston Marathon will be the icing on the cake!
The Red Cross is at the frontlines of every disaster, preparing a plan of action before, during and after these horrific events. We are so fortunate there is a charity with the tremendous resources and outreach that the Red Cross has but it starts with YOU and I and those who donate money to fund them. They need your support and I thank you in advance for your contribution!
The Red Cross is a charity I’ve supported from the time I donated blood for the first time as a teenager growing up in Buffalo. I now live in Michigan and another one of my goals is to raise awareness in the community about the importance of donating blood. I am lucky and fortunate enough to have donated blood over 60 times in my life and continue to do so. My father inspired me to do this, so thank you dad!
My friends know that I enjoy running and seeing amazing sunrises and sunsets. It’s my escape and opportunity to experience nature and the great outdoors. I also have a passion for live music, especially Pearl Jam and Jack White. I like to live life to the fullest and hope we all remember to keep on seizing the day and NEVER stop dreaming YOUR dream. Thank you so much for coming to my page and I truly appreciate any donation you make.
