Hi all! In August, I participated in my first GISH, an online scavenger hunt in which teams around the world complete wacky, weird, and wonderful items to benefit different charities, including my team, Team Pundemonium!
One of the items I completed personally was to complete 10 Random Acts of Kindness and make a video showing the journey. It was an amazing experience that gave me way more than I gave out, and made me a permanent fan of Random Acts,, Misha Collins’ charity and GISH's sister organization.
Random Acts strives to “conquer the world, one random act of kindness at a time” by empowering people to help each other. Over the past decade, this 100% volunteer-run organization has taken on ambitious projects like building a children’s center for orphans in Haiti and helping Syrian refugees, but they also help in less high-profile ways that still mean the world to someone, like buying sneakers for a child experiencing homelessness.
Team Pundemonium is participating in the GISH Halloween HaUNT. In honor of the Random Acts 10th anniversary, we have been challenged to gather donations to the Random Acts General Fund, which supports a wide variety of projects, including the Acts Program.
The Acts Program empowers anyone in the world to do an act of kindness in their own community. Maybe you want to help your local animal shelter, an elderly neighbor who needs a new heater before winter, or a family who just needs some groceries to get by. You can apply for an Act to get funding and help them!
Right now, everybody is struggling and things might get even harder before they even out. Making a contribution here means joining Team Pundemonium in celebrating Random Acts’ 10-year anniversary and helping our GISH Family & Random Acts to continue to do good for years to come, no matter what the future throws at us. Thank you for your support!
