This past summer I had the moose-tastic joy of discovering “Camp Magic” during one awe-inspiring week at North Star Reach. I had the opportunity to volunteered last summer during our Epilepsy Camp in the arts & crafts area and was known to have a purple tu-tu on so much so that the boys in from my cabin nick-name me “Princcess Tu-Tu” for the week. And the name has just stuck including for a fall family weekend during this past fall. During these times of social distancing, our campily will be doing our first ever Camp-a-Thon! Circling back...what is that “Camp Magic”you might ask... well it’s this pretty awesome thing, that is terribly difficult to describe other than the feeling of kids getting to fish for the first time, swimming and laughing so hard you breath, (can but you feel like you can’t) singing silly songs so loud that your lungs could burst, and glitter everywhere. It’s showing kids that they can be anything they want And then watching them do it. That’s Camp Magic. And I encourage you to be a part in any way you can. North Star Reach has forever changed my heart and is my second home. 🌟💛
All the mooseness!
