Whether you’re an avid runner or someone looking for motivation to get back in shape, Team PPCS has something for you!
The concept is simple: participate in any local road race or physical challenge and raise awareness and funds for People’s Prep. In return, you’ll receive complimentary race entry, team swag, and the gratification of helping the PPCS community.
Once participation is approved, our team will get you registered for the event and will provide you the tools and resources needed to start your training. We will also be hosting monthly Team PPCS training runs and will provide helpful tips as you prepare for race day.
Team PPCS welcomes students, teachers, faculty, and supporters to participate. There are opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, and we encourage you to recommend new races and challenges for all to participate.

The mission of People's Prep is simple: to prepare all of our students to graduate from the college of their choice as informed, involved, and resilient citizens.
All students deserve great schools. Since 2011, People’s Prep has successfully provided a high-performing, college-preparatory high school for Newark students and their families. Our students demonstrate a marked improvement in standardized testing, school attendance, and a broad range of academic and non-academic measures. Our school is committed to facing every challenge along this path and to working alongside our students and families to meet them.
