I have been blessed to serve as the Executive Director for The Koinonia Foundation for over 3 years. In that time, I have seen first hand the impact that our programs have on the lives of the individuals with disabilities that we serve.
When parents drop off their loved one and they can't wait for them to leave...that's what makes my heart skip a beat. That's what drives me to push harder and grow our organization more. That's what makes the Koinonia Family so special.
It cannot be understated the effec that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on us all. We haven't been able to have a face-to-face event since early March, when we took a day trip to Pigeon Forge, had lunch at Hard Rock Cafe and went exploring at Wonderworks. I hold on to that day in my heart, as I didn't realize it would be the last time I would see our crew for the next several months on end.
In that time, we have done the best we can to continue providing virtual services for our participants. We know it will never take the place of real social interaction, but we are doing all we can.
But...we need YOUR help in order to continue growing those virtual programs and expand that to include a Virtual Camp Experience like we've never done before!
I would be so grateful for your support as I do my part to reach our overall fundraising goal. We are all in this together!
With much love and even more gratitude,
