Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Six months ago, I moved back to the Boston-area and began a new job at the Kennedy-Donovan Center in Foxboro. KDC offers a wide range of family- and community-based services to children, individuals and families facing developmental delays and other challenges.
The transition to human services was highly motivating for me, but I had no idea just HOW impactful my organization would prove to be as the world and our local communities faced a pandemic head-on.
Since March, KDC has gone above and beyond for families and individuals who are in crisis with little-to-no support. Just to give you an idea:
...Our Cape EI program threw a baby shower for new and expecting Moms, gifting them essentials to better prepare them for parenthood.
...Our Attleboro EI program has delivered diapers to more than 60 young families that expressed need.
...Our Transportation Team has made countless grocery and pharmacy runs for the 50 adults living in our 12 shared living residences.
...Our Foster Care program provided kids with iPads and Chromebooks to help them access remote learning and keep up with school.
...Across our 10 programs, we have given HUNDREDS of grocery gift cards to families where one or both parents have lost their jobs.
Philanthropy, quite literally, made ALL of this possible. It's the reason I'm walking - and fundraising - for KDC this year. Please support my walk with a donation!
