Taylor was a dancer, cheerleader, outgoing girl who loved the outdoors and hanging with friends. About a year and a half ago, at age 16, she rolled her car. As a result, she is paralyzed from mid chest down. As a teenager and as a parent there is nothing more devastating and life changing. Learning to live with this disability and all that comes with it has been a challenge for Taylor. Because of Neuroworx, she is able to bike, ski, drive, do her own laundry, go on trips with her friends and become independent in life again!
Neuroworx facility, therapist, staff and equipment are absolutely amazing. On an average, insurance only covers up to 25 visits per year on outpatient therapy. Whether you hurt your leg or become paralyzed for the neck down, the allowed visits are the same. This is where Neuroworx steps in.
Neuroworx is a nonprofit organization that provides physical therapy, occupational therapy and adaptive activities to those affected paralysis due to spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions regardless of an individual's resources.
Taylor has made a goal to increase her mileage to 20 miles this year. 100% of all donations go towards Neuroworx patient care. Any amount would be appreciated.
GO TEAM TAYLOR!!!
